Love this Sharon! A post after my own heart with so many lines I love “ If you remember the 90s, you weren’t really there, man” 🤣🤣And a wonderful reminder of 999 which I’d forgotten about and now want to revisit immediately. But on a serious note, I also love the discovery you made as to why they hired you - makes sense but also kind of sinister that they wanted people with an edge. I guess that’s capitalism for you! Off to read more now, thank you 👏🏻

Hurrah for Saturday jobs – yes! A trip to the Disney Store on Regent Street was a treat for my daughters at exactly around that time, Sharon, so you may well have been our greeter! I still have a set of Disney mixing bowls from there, and the remnants of a couple of dressing up outfits that I've saved for the grandchildren.

Being a casting coordinator for crime reconstructions sounds an interesting first "real" job. What was that like?

Surreal Wendy! I would often be tasked to find a tall but short actor, bald with hair, walks with a stutter, talks with a limp…Or words to that effect 😆 Certainly challenging!
