So much wisdom in this. There are so many ways to communicate these days that I think it is actually making communication harder, not easier. Ironic. x
Definitely think that we hide behind a “perfect” front on social media and that mobile phones have made communication harder. Thank God for being able to mute group chats though. Bane of my life.
I heartily concur. It seems obvious to me that this disconnecting is what's mostly driving the mental illness surge and it's little surprise as a result that this is how the young are defining themselves. We are little more than chimps, chimps that are isolated and anxious.
Can't help but agree Dean. There’s a generation now so tethered to technology that they’ve lost the basic ability to connect with the humans right in front of them. Small talk has become a dying art, eye contact a rarity, and there’s a startling lack of awareness - all of which perpetuates the cycle of disconnect/anxiety & depression.

(I hope you noticed the kiss! 😆)
Thanks Jules. Will let you off!
.....moved to Manchester......I remember that! If only! x
I hope they do land and offer to take me with them 🤣🤣

All I can say re Definition of Sound is TUNE! Xx

So, ummm, yeah ... x

Absolutely. Maybe it’s just me or it’s a part of ageing, but people have become so dull to talk to. Not just the young.
So many great points. I love a mix tape and your signature track.
I do think we’re losing the art of connection and conversation. I hope not though. It’s a basic human need, so there’s a lot to lose.
Agreed Margaret. I’m glad you enjoyed.
I wouldn’t blame them for giving us a wide berth, either, Sharon!
I know what you mean about being soft spoken, too. I find it hard to be emphatic without sounding shouty, over-compensating!
It’s a curse Wendy!
